The Body Shop Sale - What did I buy?

Hi girls!

The Body Shop are running a the summer sale along a 35% off discount on everything, including sale ( use code 14669 in store or online). There have been codes for 30% or 40% off earlier in June and July, and each time I've been going to the shop to pick up some thing, so I have bought a few things which I think make for a good bargain, and I'll share with you what I recommend you buy in the sale. I think this time the discount code also marks the end of the summer sales, so hurry up and grab a bargain! For some reason, some things are better in store, eg : the Sweet Lemon range is discounted in my local store, but not online. Also some of the sales items I cannot find online, but have seen in store, so definitely worth a look before ordering, even though minimum spend for free delivery is only £5 so that's a great offer!

One of the things I was most excited about is this hair care kit - Rainforest Moisture Haircare Kit. I've been reading on the supposed benefits of using silicone free shampoo and conditioners, so I thought that buying travel size of a complete hair care routine would be a great way to try this out. The kit costs just £4 and with the discount codes it comes pretty cheap, I got mine for only £2.40. It has a 60ml Rainforest Moisture Shampoo & a 60 ml Conditioner, one pot of the Rainforest Moisture Hair Butter 50ml and a plastic detangling comb, which I use in the shower after applying conditioner or masks, to detangle. Having used this for a while, I quite like it, especially the hair mask and I would buy this again. The conditioner though is very thick and hard to get out of the bottle, thus the very damaged bottle even though it's not even half empty.

Personally I have always associated The Body Shop with their body butters, but at £13 each it can be quite steep. The current sale has selected body butters for £5, in store you will find ones like Papaya, Raspberry, Passion Fruit, Sweet Pea Duo, Sweet Lemon while online you can get some of the rare ones, such as Calm Body Butter, Maroccan Rose, Japanese Cherry Blossom or Midnight Bakula. In the picture just above I picked up a ready-wrapped Raspberry set from the store, as a gift for a friend, along a Sweet Lemon soap reduced to £1 and a Sweet Lemon Lip Butter reduced to £2, and I got the 40% off on top of all that.

For myself, I picked up a Passion Fruit Body Butter, which I think smells amazing! Later on I went and bought a Coconut Shower Cream and a Passion Fruit shower gel, which I hope is better than it looks, this dark blueish colour isn't too appealing, is it? As I have about five shower gels currently in my bathroom, and I am using another body butter ( the Candied Ginger, very yum! )  this lot is going to the back of my cupboard until later on, trying to be reasonable hehe.

I have bought this Cucumber Cleansing Milk in the January sales, but have seen it in the shops this time round as well, for only £2. I love mine a lot, I still have about one fifth left and I would have bought another bottle if I wouldn't have my Sanctuary Hot Cloth Cleanser waiting for me in the cupboard.

This is very effective for removing makeup on both face and eyes and it's gentle enough for my sensitive skin - I use acne cream treatments all the time so my skin is always sensitive.

Spring Trend Report Nails 2013

Came across this image on OPI's Facebook page. Now I'm not one to blindly follow the trends, but some inspiration is welcomed. Let's see what are OPI's suggestions when it comes to nails this spring.

I have enough pastel nail polish, at least the colours that I like, as mint for example doesn't suit me that well. I also have a few nudes and beige colours. Interesting mention of the monochrome nails, I thought that's meant for clothes this season, not much of a fan of complicated nail art, and that's because let's admit it, I'm not too good at it. I left the blue for last, that looks gorgeous! And I have been eyeing an amazing blue such as the HM Blue My Mind  or the Nails Inc Baker Street since ages! I guess this will be a good time to buy one of them.

Now, I didn't quite like the OPI's example of a monochrome manicure, so looked for some other versions. I think these look quite good and are not that hard to recreate. What do you think?

Which of the four trends is your favourite ? x

HM Free delivery Haul

Hi!

H&M has an offer for free delivery with the code 0439, and as an extra you can use 1304 for £5 off. As the bargain hunter that I am, I couldn't resist buying a few things.

I picked a blue shirt, a cosy jumper for home, new pair of leggings, a hair band which I plan to use for overnight no heat curls and two metallic tea light holders to be used as make-up brush containers. These were separate orders and I only paid £6.48 for all the items above, total bargain.

1. Cornflower Blue Blouse 2. Pink sweatshirt  3. Suede hairband  4. Black leggings  5. Small tealight holder
Medium tealight holder

If you are short of ideas of what to buy, I will show you what I ordered last time they had two promo codes together as well as my wishlist if I were to buy more things this time.

Last time I ordered a lovely pink sweater with silver threads through it, the blue velvet pumps which unfortunately didn't fit and and that's also the reason I am not sure if to order more H&M shoes or not. The Minnie Mouse mat is adorable isn't it? Sadly not available any more. And lastly a colourful balloons shower towel which I love, it's lightweight as well so I can pack it on holidays.

2. Blue velvet pumps 3. Balloons towel

And lastly my wish-list includes the lovely metallic gold and pink suede sandals which I have on Pinterest since last summer, but I think they'll suit a narrow foot better, simple red pumps, pastel bangles and two very affordable bags. Everything is under £15 pounds so with the discount these should be a good buy!

1. Sandals 2. Beige bag 3. Studded cross body bag 4. Silver glitter nailpolish 5. Suede ballet pumps 6. Pastel bangles

What will you ladies be shopping at H&M this spring? x

NOTD: Essie Tour de Finance

Hi

Today's nails are fuchsia pink Essie's Tour de Finance. Am I the only one thinking this is such a hookerish colour? Nonetheless it looks gorgeous as it has tiny blue shimmer throughout it and I find it not only looks good with my skin tone but matches pretty much anything as far as clothes and accessories go.  It applies well and I am wearing two coats in these pictures and my trusted Sally Hansen top coat.

I bought this little gem off fragrancedirect for the bargain price of £1.99. I am in love with fragrancedirect and  recommend them for buying cheap Essie as well as brands which are not that easily available the in UK such as Sally Hansen, NYC. etc.

I'll leave you have a look at the pictures.

What do you think of Essie nail polishes?  x
